Golden Valley on Route 66: From Cool Springs to Ed’s Camp
On Route 66 through Golden Valley, Arizona, Cool Springs Station and the long-abandoned Ed’s Camp tell two very different stories. One has been rebuilt as a classic roadside stop, while the other lingers in ruin beneath an unnamed mesa. Together, they capture the spirit, struggle, and survival of travel across the Black Mountains.
